Privacy Policy — Hokm Cafe

1. Introduction

Hokm Cafe ("the App", "we", "us") is a multiplayer Persian trick-taking card game for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

Display name and selected avatar
Apple ID or Google account identifier (used for authentication only)
Email address (only if shared through Apple/Google sign-in)
Guest accounts: device identifier only, no personal information

2.2 Game Data

Game statistics (wins, losses, scores, streaks)
Ranked rating and tier
Match history and replays
Achievement progress
XP and level

2.3 Economy Data

Coin balance
VIP subscription status
Purchase history (processed by Apple App Store / Google Play — we never handle payment card data)

2.4 Social Data

Friend lists
Referral codes
In-game quick chat messages (preset phrases only)
Direct messages between players and from the Hokm Cafe team. Text-only; no images or attachments. Stored encrypted in transit and at rest. Retained 14 days (peer-to-peer) or 60 days (from the Hokm Cafe team), and extended if a message is reported (30 days after the report is closed). You can delete a conversation from your own inbox at any time; this hides it on your side but does not remove the other person's copy until retention expires.
Support request messages (200-character limit, 60-day retention after resolution)

Moderation of direct messages. To keep the community safe, our moderation team may review direct messages when a user reports one, when our automated filters flag potentially harmful content (e.g., harassment, spam, attempts to share contact information), or when we investigate violations of our Terms of Service. Moderators access only what is necessary for each investigation, and all access is logged. If you do not want your direct messages to be subject to moderation review, do not use the direct messaging feature — peer-to-peer direct messages are optional and can be disabled entirely in Settings > Privacy > Who can message me.

IP address (for matchmaking and fraud prevention)

Push notification tokens (if notifications enabled)

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide gameplay, matchmaking, and leaderboards
Process in-app purchases (via Apple/Google — we never see your payment details)
Send push notifications (opt-in, can be disabled in device settings)
Fraud prevention and game moderation
Aggregated analytics to improve the app (no individual tracking or profiling)

4. Third-Party Services

We share data only with these service providers:

Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchase validation
Google — Google Sign-In, Google Play purchase validation
Expo — Push notifications, over-the-air app updates
Cloud hosting provider — Database and server infrastructure

      Important: We do NOT use ads, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or sell data to anyone.

Profile visibility (public, friends-only, or private)
Game history display (show or hide)
Friend request permissions
Direct message permissions (who can message you — Anyone, Friends only, or No one; applies in both directions)
Push notification preferences (via device settings)

7. Account Deletion

You can request complete account deletion by:

Upon deletion:

All personal data, game history, and purchase records are permanently removed
Friends lists and social connections are cleared
Some anonymized, aggregated statistical data may be retained
Deletion is processed within 30 days

8. Children's Privacy

Hokm Cafe is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at support@hokm.live.

9. Data Security

We protect your data with:

Encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS) for all data transmission
Secure authentication via Apple and Google
Server-side validation of all game actions
Regular security reviews
Database encryption at rest

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your data
